The one thing that bugs me about people the most is when they are immature or act like a child!
Nobody wants to be around such people or worst work with them!
But recently I read this article on hubspot that opened my eyes to those people in a different way.
Michael Reynolds said that being childish can help you be a better marketer. It can develop you grow your company's sales. Here's why:
1- Children are FEARLESS
They don't ask themselves "What if" before trying anything.
And when a marketer is fearless, some of the best marketing concepts come from ideas that may seem silly at first. It takes willingness to try new things without fear.
Steve Jobs was a perfect example of that... and boy did he change the world!
2- Children are CURIOUS
"Why" and "How" are the most commonly used words in a child's vocabulary. This is how they learn.
The very same attitude can help a marketer become a master at delivering content to customers and prospects. This is the perfect way to have a rich content and diversified ideas and concepts that can drive winning marketing campaigns.
3- Children BREAK things
Taking things apart is how they learn! this is how good engineers started when they were kids: they used to take things apart to see how they worked.
As a marketer, look for flaws in how your customers implement solutions and create controversy!
4- Children tell the TRUTH
They can be honest to the point of embarrassing you.
Same way, telling the truth can promote a product better.
A good example is Dudley Moore's "Crazy People", and here's my favorite part:

So the bottom line?
Don't be afraid to act like a child, once in a while.
"Try new ideas without fear of failure. Ask lots of questions. Uncover what's broken, and be-bold about telling the truth when you find it. With this attitude you will enjoy a never-ending flow of content ideas, campaign concepts, grateful followers, leads, and customers that trust your brand".
Cheers!
